Dr. Nimal Ratanayake
B.Sc.Eng (Peradeniya), M.Sc., Ph.D.


He is one of the pioneers in Sri Lankan Internet development and the academia. He is presently a Senior lecturer at the University of Peradeniya. At the same time he serves as the Technical Manager for the Lanka Education And Research Network (LEARN) and is a member of IEEE. In addition to all these he plays a major role in speeding FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) message in Sri Lanka . He is the founder (and currently a committee member) of LanKa Linux User Group (LKLUG).

Mr. Ching Chiao

ICANN (ccNSO and gNSO) and Global IPv6 Forum. He one of the Board of ADCT (Association of Digital Culture in Taiwan) and as a supervisor to the Board of TWIA (Taiwan Internet Association)

Prof. Kanchana Kanchanasut
Director - Internet Education and Reserach Laboratory (intERLab)


A professor in Computer Science at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). With her early involvement with the Internet deployment and development in Thailand and the Asia-Pacific has led her to focus her research on the Internet Technology. Her current research interests are in the areas of multimedia communications and heterogeneous networks. She is the founding Director of the Internet Education and Research Laboratory (intERLab) at AIT where she leads a group of active young researchers and students working closely with international research partners on many research projects with special attention on the problem of digital divide.

 Prof. Li Xiaoming
Assistant president, vice provost for academic affairs, director of office for scientific research, and member of Committee for International Cooperation of Peking University, China.

Academically, he is a professor in computer science and technology, and the director of Institute of Network Computing and Information Systems at Peking University. Being an author of several books and over hundred papers, his main interest currently lies in web information processing. He is the founder of search engine Tianwang 2.0 and Chinese web archive WebInfoMall. He serves on the international editorial board of Concurrency and Computation (Wiley), Journal of Web Engineering (Rinton), Journal of Computer Science and Technology. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of Eta Kappa Nu. He serves as a vice president for Chinese Computer Federation and is chairing the Advisory Subcommittee for Undergraduate Computing Education in China
