Professor Haruhisa Ishida


APNG-logo APNG Community is saddened by the passing away of one of its pioneers, Professor Haruhisa Ishida. He was APNG’s first Chairman and has served as a member of the advisory board of APNG.
His warm personality and his generosity to younger Asian Internet generations have led many to follow suite and to the formation of many important Internet organizations in Asia-Pacific.
Indeed, he is a great loss, not only for Japan, but to the global internet community. He and his contributions to APNG will always be appreciated and remembered. APNG expresses our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Professor Haruhisa Ishida.

    I was saddened to hear of Professor Ishida's passing. His contribution to the Internet community was immense where he actively engaged in numerous endeavours locally, regionally and internationally. The fact that the APNG Camp is in its eleventh year in 2009 is testament to his pioneering leadership and vision, and Professor Ishida will be remembered for his contribution to the success APNG is today.
